Shade Blend is a heat-tolerant hybrid of tall fescue combined with shade-loving fine fescues, making it a special shade blend that helps sod grow in filtered sun areas or shady areas. Don’t let its name fool you! Our Shade Blend also loves full fun. Our Shade Blend sod has excellent drought tolerance due to its tall fescue rooting system. Similarly, it can withstand higher-heat conditions. This well-founded rooting system also gives our Shade Blend great wear and tear tolerance and recovery, making it a great option for areas with higher foot traffic or furry friends!. Looking at this sod, you will notice it has the same visual characteristics as our #1 bestseller, the Delta Tall 9010. In many cases, landscapers and homeowners decide to use the two since the drought tolerance will even out, and the lawns look the same.
